Manti Te'o

First of all, I do realize this is a sports site. But I am shocked by how many people are blasting Manti Te'o. I just want to throw out a comparison for people to think about. I understand people will think that this has no relavence because this is a sports web site, but I think it is a point worth making. My thoughts on Manti are that he was originally duped into believing he had an online relationship. At some point he found out the truth and then perputuated lies because he was embarassed, and/or he wanted to protect his football team or his school. Most likely all of the above. OK, I get it, he is 21 years old. I have debated with many whether 21 is a man or a kid. There are arguments for both. But I will tell you, that my belief is that the maturity age is getting higher, not lower. I think that could be backed up by facts. I mean don't they say that a Master's Degree today is like a Bachelor's Degree from yesterday? So I will get to my real point. We have a government and more specifically a President that lies to us on a daily basis. Do they or President Obama take as much shit for their lies as this kid has? I know, I know, you are going to tell me the government and Obama take a lot of shit.......but I say, really? Manti Te'o has been on every news channel. Our government or Obama taking shit is only on FOX. So ask yourself this, which is worse? A President that lies to you on a daily basis or a kid that got duped into something and lied to protect himself, his teammates or his school?

Election Day

Everybody get out and vote! If you don't vote, you have no right to bitch about the political goings on in this country. It is the only time you get to make your voice heard. Do it because you care and not for "revenge"! That's a TV show anyway isn't it?
